“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

LOL Annual Ministry Trip; 2015: Day 4

We woke up in the basement of Community Bible Church in South Burlington, Vermont one last time on Sunday morning, the 24th of May.  We had to hustle right off the bat because we needed to be out of the Sunday school rooms by 8:30, as some teachers would be arriving.  So, after a whirlwind packing and cleaning up, we had breakfast and prepared for our final show of the year.

Since our show was in the church where we were staying, much of the setting up had been done the night before, which was a godsend.  We would be performing for the kids during the time the teens and adults were in their church service.  As the kids started to arrive, the LOL team was quick to welcome them and help them with the preliminary games.  Then the singing time started.  This church may be the best I've ever seen at really getting the kids involved in age appropriate, meaningful worship.  Adam was amazing at interacting with two little boys during this time, and Rose and Abby were equally great with a few little girls.

Then our show began.  Everything went well.  As sometimes happens, students asked to include things in the final show that they hadn't ever performed before.  Grace and Rachel stole machetes from each other for the first time, and Adam and Zeb stole balls while face-to-face on balance boards.  Once again, the show was excellent, and I trust the lessons were meaningful to the young audience.

Once the final show was over, and the last prop was packed, we all got into the vans one last time and headed back to Maine.  As we usually do, we stopped at "House of Tang" Chinese restaurant in Montpelier (I highly recommend their buffet if you're ever going through Vermont's capital city).  After this, the return trip was pretty quiet in the vehicles, and we were back at our starting point - Windham Christian Academy - right at 5:00 as scheduled.
