“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Bridgton Alliance 'Kids' Message'

Over 30 years ago, I was a college student in the small town of Farmington, Maine, and on Sunday mornings, I would ride my 10 speed to the even smaller town of Fairbanks in order to go to church there.  Once it was learned that I was a juggler, I was asked to occasionally lead the children's message.  This was usually a five minute mini-lesson for the elementary aged kids in the congregation.

Upon graduation,  I found myself in a Methodist church in South Carolina.  Again, I became a semi-regular presenter of the kids' message.  At this time, my Gospel presentation was really taking off.  More and more new ideas were coming to me, and it was a fun venue to try out new routines.  This laid a significant foundation for what was to come.

Still today, I have the opportunity to do the kids' message in our home church in Bridgton, Maine.  Today was one of those days.  Our assistant pastor, Debbie, was going to preach on the 'four-fold Gospel'; an Alliance phrase for four of the main roles of Christ: Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King.  I did an illusion for each of these.  A couple were standards, but I did a new illusion with flash paper to represent Christ the Healer.  I also used one of our new doves, Blizzard, who was a big hit.

This was hardly our biggest or most unique venue, but it was a fun return to my roots, so to speak, and a good opportunity to share what I do best with the congregation.
