“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

LOL @ Oxford Christian Academy

Last Friday I brought my 21 students to Oxford, Maine, where they did their show as the chapel service for Oxford Hills Christian Academy.  The show went almost a full hour, after which LOL did a workshop teaching the OHCA kids basic juggling.  Then the two groups of kids had lunch together - donated by the local Subway.  It was a great morning all the way around.

Our Machete Medley included some new and exciting moments: Isaac juggled machetes for the first time in a show, Andrei juggled them on a balance board, and Cutter juggled the knives while pogo sticking no handed!  To me, the best part was watching the two groups of middle schoolers, who only knew each other as opponents on the soccer field, interact together after the show.  We gave the OHCA kids a chance to try juggling three balls, spin diabolos and use a balance board.  We also let them meet Jeremiah, our rabbit, and Blizzard and Flurry, the doves, up close and hands on.

We were back at our own school in time for chapel.  I said to my class, "We didn't see any emotional conversions; You didn't pray with any of their kids;  I imagine they knew all the Bible stories we taught.  So where was God in all of this?  Did he do anything?"  Meira spoke up and said, "We had fun!"  "Exactly," I said, "Jesus had so much fun at times that the stuffy religious people (the Pharisees) called him a drunk, a glutton and a friend of sinners."  That gave me an opportunity to teach them about fellowship.  By this point, I was just putting a name to what they had already experienced.
