“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Mapleton Baptist Church

This morning we took a break from directing camp long enough to go to the local Baptist Church in the small town of Mapleton, Maine.  This church has been very supportive of our ministry over the years, and today was no different.  We were warmly welcomed back by many in the congregation.

I've been working old routines back into our program.  Today Rose and I performed "Mary & Marty", our juggling version of the story of biblical sisters Mary and Martha.  In it, I juggle a variety of kitchen items- bottles, cups, tray, fruit, and so on - as I try to impress the Lord with my service.  Meanwhile, Rose patiently sits in the presence of Jesus (not seen, but his 'voice' is heard as He teaches her the beatitudes.  From there it tells the story pretty much verbatim from Luke 11.  I used this as a jumping off place to discuss how faith comes from hearing God's Word.  We need to spend time in his presence.

We also performed "Above All", which is a series of illusions centered on a communion theme.  At one point, a woman in the audience was moved to tears.  I was blessed to see this routine mean so much to someone.

We also brought some hand made jewelry that we bought from the orphanage where our daughter Jo is spending her summer.  The money raised from the sale of these necklaces and bracelets is going to Project 15, a project created by her to raise money for a van for the orphanage.  We made about $100.

Then it was back to camp t start our final week.
