“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Project 15

As regular readers know, our 21 year old daughter,Jona-Lynn, is doing her college internship at an orphanage in Uganda.  She has been there two weeks out of the 10 weeks she’ll be there this summer.  I can’t begin to blog about her experiences, even though we are hearing a lot from her via Sue’s facebook.  I’m just not able to do her stories justice.   If you are on Facebook, it is worth looking her up (there’s not many Jona-Lynn Hagerstroms out there!)  But there are a few things she’s told us I’d like to mention here.

There’s the monkeys and lizards in their yard; the ‘bucket’shower (I’m picturing Gilligan’s Island here), the day the kids brought a puppy back from school claiming it followed them (turns out an old guy in town was trying to get rid of a litter of puppies and gave it to the kids.  They had to return it.), and the meal of cow intestine.  There’s the blessing of the new baby born to the orphanage director just days ago.

But the thing I want to mention here is an idea Jo had whichshe is calling Project 15.  There are 23kids in the orphanage and no van or bus for outings.  If 1000 give $15 each, they can buy a vehiclebig enough for group outings.  Manypeople have expressed interest on Facebook already.

If you are interested in helping with Project 15, write acheck to Bridgton Alliance Church and write “Uganda-van” on the memo line.  Send the check to:
