“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Truslow House

Truslow House, in Saco Maine, is an adult day care.  The clients may be physically disabled adults whose care givers may need time to run errands, mentally disabled adults who use the house's services for socialization skills or people in the early stages of dementia, who can still live at home but whose family need respite.  Yesterday we performed there for our second time; we did a show there exactly year ago to the day.

Rose, our 12 year old daughter,  and I went to Saco yesterday afternoon and did a 45 - 50 minute show for the 30 plus people who were at Truslow.  Our show opened with our partner routine, which was well received.  Rose also did a lot of the illusions in the show, including one of the dove productions, which, of course, the audience loved.  We did our best to make the Gospel message clear, and the people responded enthusiastically to what we said and did.

After the show, a girl about Rose's age (Rose is 12), presented the people of Truslow House with a water barrel she had designed and painted.  It was beautiful.  It had butterflies with the names of the clients painted on each one, as well as flowers and trees.  It was actually turned into a planter because the staff decided it was too nice to put in the yard.  Rose was so intrigued by what this young lady had done that it was kind of hard getting her to help pick up our props.

On the way home, Rose and I stopped at a little general store for homemade milkshakes.  It was a perfect way to end a really nice father-daughter afternoon!
