“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Elementary Chapel

Today I was the speaker for our school's elementary chapel service.  Being in the schol's gym,I was able to get a total blackout, which allowed me to do two routines that I can't often do during a day time show.  I opened with "Go Light your World" which combines mulitplying candles and lighted poi (When possible, I do torch swinging instead of poi, but the school's fire alarm system is linked directly into the city's fire station.)  I followed this routine up with "Dry Bones Dance" a glow in the dark diabolo routine.

After these introductory routines, I let some of the LOL students share about their recent ministry trip to Willimantic, CT (see prior blogs).  These stories inspired the younger students who look forward to being in the school's juggling troupe in the future.  After this, I continued with the egg on the head trick which is used to discuss the passage that says, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."  The fourth grde girl on whom I 'broke' the egg was cute and entertaining.

After this I brought up a second grade boy.  I dressed him up in the armor of God (Ephesians 6) made entirely out of balloons.  The little guy was a perfect choice: he lit up the stage.  Finally, I closed with my old balance board routine which in recent years has been replaced with "Hallelujah".

It's fun to have the chance to interact with the younger kids, as I am a middle school teacher.  I know they look forward to being in LOL in the future, and I hope I presented them with some spiritual truths they could understand.
