“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

LOL @ Market Square HC

LOL had their third show of this school year today.  The seventh and eighth graders at Windham Christian Academy where I teach hit the road with me, my newest aide and two parent chaperones for South Paris, Maine where we performed at Market Square Health Care.  This was initially a gig I was supposed to do last month but had to cancel.  I felt that it might be better to give the kids a chance to do this show, and that was the best decision I’ve made in some time.

Today’s was far and away the best show of the year for LOL.  Their first two were mediocre, which is normal for a new team at the start of a school year.  But today, they were completely on top of their game.  Erik and Amanda were hilarious in “The Missionary Skit” and  our newest routine – Psalm 150 – was a whirlwind of tumbling, dancing, juggling and more choreographed to Phil Keaggy’s “Caliante”, a guitar solo from his “Lights of Madrid” album.  The students also did their first partner juggling routine of the year, and it ended with Noah jumping rope on his pogo stick.  It was virtually flawless.

Just as important, the audience was very appreciative and involved in the show.  They laughed, applauded, and got involved every chance they had.  The kids loved interacting with the residents after the show, and, as usual, the audience loved meeting Jewels the rabbit and Hannah the chicken.

This strong show was a real shot in the arm for the team two days before their next show at Greater Portland Christian Academy, one of our largest venues of the year.  I’m pleased that we’re going in with some momentum.
