“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

Windham State Prison

Today I did two shows on the women's wing of the Windham  (Maine) State Prison.  I went alone, and I was about half way to the jail when I realized I had forgotten my bird and rabbit at home!  I have worked with live animals for 22 years and have NEVER forgotten them before.  I didn't have time to go back home to get them, so I prayed.  I'm pleased that that was my first response, because I haven't always been so quick to do so.  In fact, I told God I was excited to see how he would work things out.

On the way to the jail,  I stopped by the school where I work, and searched the prop closet.  I grabbed some rubber eggs and rubber chickens.  Inspiration hit!  I normally use my rabbit in an illusion that teaches the prophecy "He came to give us life, and life more abundantly."  Instead of a stuffed animal rabbit turning into a live one, I would have the rubber eggs turn into rubber chickens!  It worked very well both times and got a lot of laughs.

As for the dove, I normally use him to talk about the Holy Spirit.  Instread, the school kitchen provided me with a bunch of grapes, and I talked about the 'fruits of the Holy Spirit'.  It worked out fine.

About 15 women came to each show.  After one, a woman from Guatamala told me how she had been adopted at the age of 14 months.  She was thankful that she was adopted by a 'good Christian family'.  I was blessed that she opened up to me about this, and trust that her Christian upbringing will be seed planted in her heart, and, once released, she will walk closely with Him.
