Warm greetings from Buyala Children’s school, We are writing to provide you with an update on the water well you kindly sponsored seven years ago.

The well has continued to be a tremendous blessing to our school and the surrounding community. It has provided reliable access to clean water for drinking, cooking, handwashing, and sanitation and even construction. This has greatly reduced waterborne illnesses among the children and improved the overall hygiene of the school environment.

Over the years, the well has served approximately 150 pupils and 13 members of staff almost on a daily basis, as well as families living near the school. Many parents have shared that their children who stay close to the school no longer walk long distances to fetch contaminated water! This has positively impacted both attendance and academic performance.

Like all infrastructure, the well requires ongoing maintenance which we have done appropriately. We have carried out routine small repairs to keep it functioning, also replaced the pump in March 2024.

At present, the well remains in a very good condition, though in the future we anticipate that the pump may need another replacement.

Please inform the Casco alliance Church and community that the well they sponsored has transformed the lives of hundreds of children and families for the past seven years, and its impact continues to be felt daily. We remain deeply grateful for your generosity and commitment to the well-being of our community.
