Supreme Court Jester’s
Annual Report, 2024
In 2024, I did many shows (I did not keep an exact count) in a variety of settings including: Somerset County Jail, Windham State Prison, Long Creek Youth Corrections Facility, both the Lewiston and Portland Root Cellars, Bear Mountain Theatre, Caribou Baptist Church, Baptist Park summer camp, The Bethel (VT) Advent Christian Camp, the Lost Coin Cafe, and a variety of other churches, camps, nursing homes, and community events. In each setting, the Gospel was shared, hopefully in a way that was meaningful to the age and make up of the audience.
Of all the venues in which I shared, none was more meaningful to me than getting to share a routine at Byron’s celebration of life last July. Byron was always a big supporter of my ministry in prayer, financial donations, and encouragement. I was humbled to share a routine at his celebration in which I used a set of props he had purchased - unsolicited - for my show a year or two prior. What a generous, godly man and role model.
I continue to maintain my ministry’s website, which has recently switched servers. Fortunately, there was no interruption of service. I continue to blog about shows as well as, well, pretty much anything that pops into my mind. This year I updated my first book of blogs “A Piece of Bosco”, and it, along with my other two, are available after shows for whatever one can afford. I often give them out for free.
This was also a year in which I rethought some old routines that needed a ‘fresh coat of paint’ so to speak. This has allowed me to perform routines that had been set aside for a period of time, now with a new impact to them.
This ministry continues to receive financial support from Tree of Life Church in Windham, for which I am very grateful. Also, a big thank you to Casco Alliance Church for purchasing a much needed new speaker for my sound system, and to Alan Bean of Baked Beans Recording Studio for helping me figure out how to make it work.
Respectfully submitted,
Richard Hagerstrom
