“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

WCA LOL at OVCS

I teach middle school and coach juggling at WCA (Windham Christian Academy)  My juggling troupe is called LOL, standing for both 'laugh out loud' and 'love our Lord'.  This week WCA's LOL went to the school where I used to work as both teacher and principal: OVCS.  Acronyms, acronyms eveywhere!

OVCS is where I worked for 14 years.  The current principal, Scott Weirick, was a rookie teacher under me for several years. He has become an excellent administrator- honestly better in that role than I ever was, and it was nice to be invited back by my old friend.  And of course, it's always a lot of fun to bring two groups of kids together.  My middle schoolers did a full hour chapel for their entire student body: K-12th.  We had them from the start throughout the entire show.

Eva is currently our strongest juggler, and did three balls on a rip stick as well as three machetes flawlessly.  Faith recieved a big laugh when she was introduced wearing a tiarra and doing s princess wave.  Toby did the classic Adam and Eve routine involving eating an apple while juggling it bettter than he ever had before.  He ate almost all the way to the core!

The day was probably most meaningful to Hadley, though.  She was a student at OVCS last year and trnsferred to WCA for eighth grade.  Being an fairly reserved kid, she surprised her old classmates and teachers with her stage presence, especially as the angry teacher in 'the Good Nerd'.  Then, after the chapel progrm, she was able to briefly reconnect with some of her old friends.

LOL's December show is right here in our own school for the elementary chapel.  I guess my next blog will be WCA's LOL at WCA.
