“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

KOA Campground, Naples, ME

For the last several summers, my brother and sister-in-law have been bringing their RV to the KOA campground in the town of Naples, Maine, which happens to be just a few miles from our home one town over.  For several summers, my in-laws have talked up my 'show' to the campground managers.  Finally, the campground got in touch with me this winter, and booked me for their 'Mardi Gras' weekend in early June.

One of the challenges that came with this show was how much to incorporate the Gospel. My in-laws didn't present it as a Gospel show, and that was not what the managers of the KOA aksed for or expected.  On the other hand, my show is designed to be a Gospel presentation, and I don't want to hide that. On yet another hand, I didn't want the audience to see it as a bait and switch; come see a show and I use it as an opportunity to preach at you.  What to do?

The first answer was to pray and ask for wisdom.  From there, I was led to put together a 'secular' show and toward the end put in my balance board routine to Insigazi's "Mbonqane Groove".  Performing to this amazing African drumming music allowed me to transition quite naturally to speak about our 2019 trip to Uganda, and specifically our well drilling project Sue spearheaded once we came home.  (Read about this in my blogs about Buyala Christian School.) From there I performed my shackles escape that ties in Paul's words "Who shall set me free; thanks be to God for Jesus who sets us free."

The audience - mostly family groups - were pleased as they enthusiastically spoke with me and played with my rabbit after the show.  We are already working on a date for some time in August.
