“Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that we have been called to use the gifts God has given us to reach unbelievers for Him and to encourage, and build up His Church.

From my Journal of my First Mission Trip: the DR, 1994 (9th entry)

I spoke too soon aabout tarantulas.  Last night John's son found one.  He wanted to feed it a chamelion.  And this mornnig we found two more.  One is still sleeping by the men's room door.

I called Sue again.  She's home now (she had been staying at her mother's), and Naomi seems a bit better.  I even got to say hi to Jona-Lynn, As good as this trip has been, I'm ready to be home now.  I hope I can remember (and live out) all that I've learned here.

I stayed back from the work site this morning.  The whole project was done by lunch. After lunch we went to another CMA church.  A lady from the church travelled with us.

I did the whole program (1/2 hour) as Mike went to the children's hospital with the medical team.  About 100 people watched us and I did very well.  We set up in a parking lot between apartment buildings a block from the church. John's daughter translated.  Then I turned the program over to the church lady.  I figured she' introduce herslef and tell when the church meets.  She did.  But she also preached and did an invitation.

I haven't talked about it much, but there's always been good responses to our invitations.  Larry and I prayed with a lady in Guerra, and Paul had a nice response one night when he preached about hell.

Anyway, we returned to camp for some down time.  I was tired.  Then we went to Pastor Juan's house for a pot luck dinner.  He has a very nice home.  He supports his ministry by selling pharmaceuticals.  The memal was incredible.  Then I did my last international show for a while.  Mostly, I juggled, but then I did some magic and reminded everyone that we'd be together again in heaven.

We got to bed very late, but at this point it doesn't matter.  We're on the home stretch.  I'll be seeing my girls soon.  Thank you Lord for keeping us all safe in your hands.

Amen.
