Month or two ago I did a chapel service at the Somerset, Maine county jail. After the show, one of the older guys spoke to me briefly, saying how he'd love for his grandkids to have seen the show. A couple days later, I got a phone call from his daughter, Rhea-Anne, to discuss the possibility of doing a show. She said she could secure the Community Center in the little town of Belgrade, Maine for a venue. I was all over the idea.

The show was yesterday (this is School vacation week). When I arrived at the venue early, I called my contact person. She said that her dad had just gotten out of jail that morning! In fact, even though he couldn't come to the gig, he wanted to talk to me on the phone. He was so appreciative that I would come all that way to bless his family. He then went on to tell me about his new truck.

About 20-25 people came out to the show, and about half of them were elementary school aged kids. We had a great time,I gently shared the Gospel, and then we all had juice and whoopie pies! Rhea-Anne also made sure she took a picture of me with her kids for her dad.

This was one of the more unique ways in my career that a show has come to be scheduled. It amazes me that what I did at the jail was so significant that this gentleman wanted his family to experience it. Clearly it was a God thing, and I pray His blessing on this whole extended family.
