Before becoming a camp director myself, we used to do a lot of shows at summer camps around New England and beyond. Chow that I commit six weeks each year to work at Baptist Park, we don't get to visit as many camps with our show, but we still do some just about every summer.  So when we got a call to do a,program for the Mechanic Falls Vineyard Church's summer camp, we jumped at the chance.

the camp is located in Mechanic Falls, Maine, about 30 minutes from our house.  My wife, Sue, and I arrived in plenty of time to set up in their very large Tabernacle building.  I even had time to warm up with some routines, which doesn't always happen.

Then they brought in the 50 or so kids as well as the staff.  What a superb audience.  They hung on every routine and every word.  They seemed to be having a great time at camp, and it was interesting to see how they do things compared to our camp.  After the show was over, one of the Counselors introduced himself and told me he had seen my team of middle school jugglers, LOL, at his school last winter.  Some of the campers said they were going to learn juggling so they could be in the camp talent show the next night.  Good luck learning it in less tha 24 hours, but you have to appreciate their ambition.
